A banda foi fundada pelo guitarrista da banda de Ozzy, Jake E. Lee, e os membros da banda Black Sabbath Ray Gillen e Eric Singer. O grupo também recebeu a presença de Greg Chaisson. O grupo foi fundado em 1988 e terminou em 1993. Em sua curta duração, lançaram três álbuns, BadLands (1988), Voodoo Highway (1991) e depos foi lançado o álbum Dusk (1998). Após o primeiro álbum, Eric Singer foi substituído por Jeff Martin. Após, Ray Gillen (vocalista) foi retirado da banda, pelo seu mau comportamento e mau relacionamento com os demais membros da banda. Em 1993 recebeu o diagnóstico de AIDS e morreu no mesmo ano, impedindo qualquer chance de reunião da banda.

A banda possui um estilo que mistura gêneros como Whitesnake e Led Zeppelin. Realmente vale a pena conferir!

Devo admitir que o clipe dessa semana foi difícil de decidir. Tenho escutado muitas músicas, mas esssa tem um significado bem especial pra mim - então, eu resolvi compartilhar.

O nome Stone Sour é o nome de um drinque com uísque e soro de laranja. A banda é composta por Corey Taylor (vocalista, também vocalista do Slipknot), Jim Root (guitarra principal, back-vocals), Josh Rand (guitarra base), Shawn Economaki (baixo), Roy Mayorga (bateria / percussão). A banda surgiu em 1992, em Des Moines, Iowa, mas desde lá já sofreu diversas alterações em sua configuração, chegando a trocar 10x de guitarrista.
